I don't remember what we were talking about but Heather was saying she never got Kool-Aid as a child. We always gave her drink boxes instead. So this year for Christmas she got enough Kool-Aid to last her a very long time. I had to go to several stores to get all the flavors. She also got a copy of The Monster At The End of This Book. It was one of her favorites when she could have been drinking Kool-Aid instead of drink boxes.
The family. We were a strange little band of characters trudging through life sharing diseases and toothpaste, coveting one another's desserts, hiding shampoo, borrowing money, locking each other out of our rooms, inflicting pain and kissing to heal it in the same instant, loving, laughing, defending, and trying to figure out the common thread that bound us all together. ~Erma Bombeck
